Watercolour

There is a text about the water colours below the paintings.

Watercolour

We had a place on the outer side of Kvaløya in Troms, facing the open Arctic Ocean, without electricity or roads, just natural sounds from the waves and the birds and the animals.

After countless hikes in the wilderness, especially in the darkness, I saw this Magnesium / Cerulean blue light lying over the heather and in mountain crevices.

Being able to listen in the great outdoors, far from electric lights, machines and roads was crucial.

Turpentine intolerance led me to watercolor.

I liked the spontaneity, fluidity, precision and intuitiveness.

For many years, I used watercolours to work through my issues.
