MyMicroGallery Projects – Stefania Carrozzini

It’s not so much about imagination as listening. An eye and ear inwards and an eye and ear outwards. I think of my images as gates, entrances to the language in between. Many of us remember the famous Haiku poem about the flower that falls from the branch, suddenly it rises again. Is it a butterfly? We fall from one state to another in a fraction of a second. Suddenly we have access to a part of reality we didn’t know before. I have found that when I manage to be in these ‘gates’ a new consciousness rises in the mind, a new contact, because I am also nature.
My images are gates, instruments, the real images are not the images on my canvases, but the images that come into the mind of the viewer.
